I just rarely ever find reason to take the Arcology Project perk. In a recent game, I had the First League, the size 25 relic world with the genetic relic, the other one with lots of generator districts, AND I got the Shard anomaly. So four relic worlds, all for little to no work, except Shard who can be postponed (I declined the event).

relic planet can't support agriculture districts cause they are ruined Ecumenopoli so there just isn't anywhere to grow anything, for the remnant origin you are either gonna have to use hydroponic farms the internal market or colonize a second planet that does contain agriculture districts and use that to supply your food needs.

For a late game rush (like a x25 crisis y2300) relic world is one of the best origins, as you can use your main world for tech + CG y30 on oecu. Ocean paradise, mechanist, lost colony, scion and here be dragons are all bad compared to it. With the relic world you just clear the spire blocker and you get 8 researcher jobs right there, with an extra +15% output bonus.
